Abstract
The discharge and ion extraction properties of a beam-plasma ion source have been studied experimentally. The extractable ion current is maximized when the discharge column length is chosen to be an optimum length. The peak extracted ion current can exceed the Child–Langmuir current as much as an order of magnitude. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
