Abstract
Using the idea in the geometrical model that is approximately the "source" distribution for the outgoing particle in diffraction dissociation, we calculate differential cross sections for such dissociation in and collisions and show that there are dips which agree generally in positions with the observed kink structures in several such experiments. The computation of the dip position contains no adjustable parameters, justifying the picture that the dip and kink structures are geometrical in origin.
