Abstract
Summary: The anticomplementary action of the pancreatic extract known as pangestin is exhibited in a narrow quantitative zone, the larger quantities causing progressively less inhibition. This zone phenomenon is not present in the digestive activity of this preparation. This finding shows that the inhibition of complement by pancreatic extracts is not due to digestion of a component of complement. Keywords
