Abstract
An experiment is reported in which it was shown that the availability of the oil, supplied by 24% whole rapeseed in a turkey finishing ration, was greatly improved as a result of pelleting the ration. Metabolizable energy was raised from 2.69 kcal per gram of ration to 3.32 kcal. Feed:gain ration was narrowed from 8.32 to 6.34. Feeding the same level of extracted rapeseed oil in the ration still further improved gain and feed:gain ratio but the differences were not significant. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
