Abstract
Hexaploid triticale .times. aestivum wheat crosses were compared with its reciprocals in the F1 generation for morphological characters, fertility and meiotic instability. Use of wheat as the female parent resulted in considerable reduction in vigor and fertility. Triticale may possibly be used as the female parent in triticale .times. wheat hybridization programs. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
