Abstract
A description is given of a new mutation causing neonatal jaundice in the house mouse. Haematologic studies indicate that the jaundice is secondary to a spherocytic haemolytic anaemia. The condition is determined by the action of an autosomal recessive gene (symbolized sph) and is lethal in the neonatal period. Keywords
