Abstract
In the two-valence-neutron nucleus , in-beam and (,) measurements have identified nine levels with . The measured half-life of the state gives . A high-lying level, which decays by to the state, as well as a level are shown to be two-phonon octupole excitations of stretched character. All these results can be quantitatively derived from the experimental data for the coupling of one neutron to the core octupole observed in .
