Abstract
A study was made of the effects upon β-glucuronidase and alkaline phosphatase activities of hypophysectomyoophorectomy, followed by treatments with: a) prolactin, b) prolactin +growth hormone +estrone b)progesterone, and c) prolactin +growth hormone +estrone +progesterone +hydrocortisone. The effects in the liver were compared with those in the mammary gland, and the effects of the mammogenic and the lactogenic hormones appeared to be specific for the mammary gland. Keywords
