Two Simple Durable Epifaunal Collectors

Abstract
Vertical and horizontal epifaunal collectors, especially for the infralittoral zone, are described. Special attention is given to stability of the collectors and to easy recovery and replacement of the test panels. The collectors were used under severe environmental conditions and were found very satisfactory. Species collected by the two collectors differed greatly. The vertical collector yielded the greater variety of species, and the horizontal collector the greater number of specimens.
