Abstract
The three methods of analysis of pretest-posttest data discussed by Huck and McLean (1975) are translated into correlational terms. This translation adds depth to their discussion. Their conclusion that gain-score analysis is preferred to the analysis of variance of repeated measures is modified, but their preference for the analysis of covariance is reinforced. Keywords
