Abstract
When R. padi (L.) was reared at 13°, 23°, 26°, and 30°C, the average nymphal production per female was 30, 42, 50, and 10.9 respectively. The time for a complete generation varied from 21.7 days at 13°C to 5.2 days at 26°C. The lower temperature limit for development was approximately 8°C; the upper limit was about 27°C. Twenty-eight species of Gramineae were tested and most were found suitable as hosts of R. padi. Keywords
