Abstract
The aspects of short-range order discussed are : a) Experimental problems involved in determination of short-range order ; b) Nature of short-range order ; c) Kinetics and mechanism for increase in short-range order at low temperatures in quenched specimens ; d) Destruction of short-range order by plastic deformation, derivation of the fundamental equation for short-range order strengthening, and significance of the comparison with experimental resultsKeywords
