Abstract
Temporary negative ions of N2O and CO2 are important in several processes. Recent experiments have given much information about these ions. For N2O− the shapes of the potential‐energy surfaces for the three lowest states can be inferred from the available experimental information. For CO2− two alternative sets of surfaces are consistent with the present knowledge. Keywords
