Abstract
The cytoplasm of various cells of the glands of L. clandestina shows few modifications. In the cells of the head, with the exception of the shield-shaped glands, the nuclei present, in comparison with the corresponding nuclei of the inner epidermis, a hypertrophy more or less important which may be accounted for, sometimes, by the increase in the volume of the nucleoplasm, and sometimes by the increase in the quantity of chromatin. There are different examples of polyploidy; that taking place without the appearance of mitotic figures is within the nucleus and is accounted for by a process of endosynthesis. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
