Abstract
The coherent scattering amplitudes of krypton and xenon for thermal neutrons have been measured by a comparison method involving reflection of a neutron beam from liquid mirrors. The results were (7.68±0.19)× cm for krypton and (5.10±0.17)× cm for xenon. When these results are used with the scattering measurements of Hamermesh, Ringo, and Wattenberg, one obtains (3900±800) ev for the electron-neutron interaction.
