Abstract
A decline in the incidence of Salmonella enteritidis infections in western Europe was identified by the Salm-Net (forerunner of Enter-net) salmonella database between 1993 and 1995, when the numbers of S. enteritidis isolates fell from 37 647 to 31 482. TKeywords
