Abstract
A test battery assessing visual-motor and motor abilities and a new, non-motoric visual memory test were administered to 95 first and second grade children. Means, standard deviations, and correlation coefficients for this new test, as well as information on validity and reliability are reported. Analysis of variance for the number of correct matches of visual memory test indicated significant differences for grade level ( p < .01) but not for sex. A varimax rotation of the correlation matrix resulted in a three-factor solution identified by: visual-motor copy performance, visual memory, and finger tapping.
