Abstract
The growth of larval E. multilocularis in seven strains of Jackson mice was examined. It was fastest in C57L, the average cyst weight after 120 days of growth exceeding 7 g. The cysts grew slower in the DBA/1 and RF mice, but tended to become invasive. In the LAF1 hybrids the growth was almost as fast as in the C57L, and much faster than in A/He strain. In the B6D2F1 hybrids, however, the growth was much slower than in both parental strains. The cysts grew slowly in obese, dwarf, and hairless mutants. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
