Abstract
The anticonvulsant drugs, cannabidiol, phenobarbital, diphenylhydantoin and trimethadione, raise the number of stimuli at a 10-sec rate to the fornix needed to cause a hippocampal seizure discharge. The possible value of this test as a method for the assay of antiepileptic agents is analyzed. Keywords
