Abstract
The stimulated Brillouin scattering threshold power in externally modulated lightwave AM-CATV systems can be increased up to 8 dB by single tone phase modulation of the optical carrier, without introducing significant intermodulation distortion even if the signal wavelength is not in the zero dispersion regime of the fibre.Keywords
