Abstract

A FORMAL solution of the dual integral equations ₀ ∫ ^∞ tø(t)J _v (ϱt)dt=f(ϱ) (o<ϱ1) is given when f(ϱ), F(ϱ) are prescribed functions of ϱ and ø(t) is a function of t to be found. Previous work has treated only the case in which F(ϱ)=0. A solution for the similar pair ₀ ∫ ^∞ ø(t)J _v (ϱt)dt=G(ϱ) (o<ϱ1) is also given.
