Abstract

New measurements make possible a much more complete analysis of the band systems ending on

2 p {}^{1}Π

. The constants of this state can be obtained with great accuracy and the irregularities in the

Λ

-doubling and perturbations traced to the interaction with the higher vibrational levels of

2 p {}^{1}Σ

. New information is obtained about some of the states which have both electrons excited.
