Abstract
This introductory article describes four major structural perspectives on work-related inequalities: dual economy/economic segmentation; labor market segmentation; organization; and class. The relations among these approaches are discussed and it is argued that they need to be integrated if we are to understand structural sources of inequality. Links are then drawn between these structural approaches and the papers in this special issue. Keywords
