Abstract

[Rh(cod)(PPh₃)(C₅H₅N)]⁺PF₆ ^– or [RhOCOPh(cod)(PPh₃)](cod = cyclo-octa-1,5-diene) in benzene containing PhCO₂H and NEt₃ under H₂ reduce a variety of 1-alkynes with high selectivity to the corresponding 1-alkenes.
