Abstract
Six alcoholic patients were treated by vit. supplements as recommended by Williams. The dosage and schedule of admn. of these vits. is included in the paper. One of the 6 patients had far advanced pulmonary tuberculosis and expired before the effects of this regimen could be evaluated. Of the remaining 5 patients, 3 ceased to take the medication and resumed their drinking; two have continued the medication for 7 and 10 months and have improved. This method of treatment appears to offer the advantages of improvement in the physiol. status of the individual, no risk of habituation to the medication, and acceptance of the method of treatment by the alcoholic. Keywords
