Abstract
This Letter reports the mode locking of an organic dye laser achieved by pumping the laser with the second harmonic of a mode‐locked pulse train from a Nd laser. Mode‐locked laser action was observed for solutions of Rhodamine 6G and Rhodamine B and mixtures thereof. The laser output could be varied from about 5600 Å–5900 Å by changing the composition of the solution. Keywords
