Abstract
Rats reared on hypotonic saline select that substance in preference to water in a T maze, but Ss [subjects] reared on water select water in the same test situation. These findings are not consistent with an explanation based on altered metabolism of NaCl. An explanation of the rat''s preference behavior in discrete trial situations utilizing secondary reinforcement is advanced. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
