Abstract
Twelve healthy women received a pudendal block with 0.25% bupivacaine-adrenaline for uncomplicated vaginal delivery. Bupivacaine concentration in the newborn was low and about 25% of maternal concentration. Analgesia lasted about 4½ hours and no maternal or foetal side effects were noted. Keywords
