Abstract
Color responses of Schizaphis graminum (Rondani), Macrosiphum avenae (F.), Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch), and R. padi (L.) were tested in the laboratory using red, yellow, green, blue, and a series of neutral density, Wratten niters. All life stages of S. graminum, M. avenue, and R. maidis preferred yellow light over other test colors or daylight of similar intensity; R. padi preferred green light. Species preferring yellow lived longer and reproduced more when confined under this color. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
