Abstract
Microwave spectra of three isotopic species of CH3GeH2F have been investigated in the region 10 000–30 000 MHz. The height of the potential barrier hindering the internal rotation of the methyl group was determined to be 940±30 cal/mole, from A–E frequency differences, using the PAM method through fourth‐order perturbations. Dipole moment components μa= 2.32±0.10 D, μb=1.00±0.10 D, giving a resultant molecular μ= 2.53±0.15 D, were obtained from Stark effect measurements. Bond moments are derived for germanium compounds as μGe→H=1.0 D and μGe→F=3.3 D.Keywords
