Abstract

The desulfuration of Me₂P(S)P(S)Me₂ by tri-n-butyl phosphine in the presence of protic substances (water, alcohols, carbonic acids and others) is accompanied by hydrolytic cleavage of the P-P bond with formation of dimethyl phosphine.
