A colorimetric method for the determination of dimethylamine. in the presence of other volatile bases, as Cu dimethyldithiocarbamate is described, and applied to urine. 2-50 [gamma] dimethylamine N can be detd. in 10 ml. soln. The oxidation of trimethylamine by nitrous acid to dimethylnitrosamine is reported.
