Abstract
As interest in the concepts and methods of software engineering increases, many companies, particularly in aerospace, find it difficult to acquire software developers with the desired skills. The option of full-time, company-based training is discussed with suggestions for implementation. Lessons learned from the actual implementation of such a program are discussed along with possible directions for future evolution. Keywords
