Abstract
The matters discussed are: clothing as a quasi-physiological system interacting with the body; means of describing the thermal and moisture relations and experimentally determining characteristic coefficients of clothing; the more usual structural description of clothing, and some of the possible variations of its structure or design; heat and moisture relations in clothing; physiological and field testing of clothing by wearing it; properties of clothing that require tests on living subjects; means of testing physical properties of clothing which are related to comfort; differences between fibers in relation to comfort, both thermal or moisture relations and nonthermal.Keywords
