Regulation of Key Hepatic Glycolytic Enzymes

Abstract
In earlier reports biotin was shown to stimulate hepatic glucokinase. This effect was related to new protein synthesis. This report indicates that biotin increases the activities of all the hepatic key glycolytic enzymes in rats treated with glucocorticoids. Biotin also has a stimulatory effect on enzyme maturation in the suckling rat.
