Abstract
Dans cette revue, les auteurs présentent brièvement les principaux troubles affectifs résultant d'une atteinte cérébrale et les modes traditionnels d'approche qui ont été développés pour étudier ces problèmes (syndrome psycho-organique, techniques projectives, neuropsychologie clinique). Ils analysent ensuite les travaux expérimentaux récents portant sur la spécialisation interhémisphérique des conduites affectives. Dans la discussion, l'accent est mis sur le fait qu'une compréhension plus précise du rôle de l'hémisphère droit exige la clarification simultanée de plusieurs autres questions relatives au rôle des structures sous-corticales dans la réactivité émotionnelle, à celui de l'hémisphère gauche et du système fronto-limbique dans le contrôle des émotions, et à l'éventuelle existence de localisations intrahémisphériques droites. On souligne l'importance de la distinction entre troubles primaires et troubles secondaires, ainsi que le manque d'études sur la personnalité antérieure des sujets et leur environnement socioculturel au moment de l'atteinte cérébrale.In this review, the authors first briefly described the principal affective disorders that result front a cerebral lesion and the traditional approaches that have been developed for the study of these problems (psycho-organic syndrome, projective techniques, clinical neuropsychology). Second, the authors analyzed recent experimental studies investigating the relationship between interhemispheric specializalion and affective behavior. Finally, in the discussion, emphasis was placed on the fact that comprehension of the role of the right hemisphere simultaneously necessitates a clarification of many other questions ; specifically, the role of limbic structures in emotional reactivity, the role of the left hemisphere and the fronto-limbic system in emotional control, and the possible existence of right intrahemispheric localizations. Moreover, the importance of the distinction between primary disorders and secondary disorders was stressed. It was noted that a lack of data exists concerning the prelesional personalily of the subjects and their sociocultural environment at the time of the injury.Seron Xavier, Van der Linden Martial.
