Abstract
The homozygous type, [chi]-normal-1.5, arose through crossing over in a hybrid between semi-steriles-1 and -5. Smear preparations of meiotic prophase figures from [chi]-normal-1.5 X o-normal disclosed a 6-armed complex; at metaphase, a ring of 6 chromosomes. Pairing of chromosomes in interchange heterozygotes appears undiminished except possibly at chiasmata. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
