Abstract
A combination of group theory and NEMD computer simulation confirms the existence of new asymmetric cross-current correlation functions excited in a monatomic fluid subjected to couette flow. The structure of these functions is explored and their implications for spectroscopic techniques such as depolarised light scattering and infra-red absorption are discussed. Keywords
