Abstract
SUMMARY: Floating plants of Ascophyllum nodosum (L.) Le Jol. have been found for the first time at 00°47'S, 14°10'W to 01°21'S, 13°32'W. Populations of attached individuals do not occur below 40°N, although previous records of drift plants are known from further south. The plants found near the equator have probably arisen from attached populations in western Europe. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
