Abstract
An ophthalmological study of a series of cases of epidemic dropsy in a recent outbreak in Madhya Pradesh [India] was carried out. [It was due to cooking oil contaminated with seeds of Argemone mexicana. The seeds contained sanguinarine hydrochloride.] Superficial retinal hemorrhages in epidemic dropsy, an observation believed not to have been previously reported, were seen. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
