Abstract
1 H and 31P N.m.r. data of a series of alkoxyphosphonium hexachloroantimonates are presented and compared with similar data for the corresponding phosphoryl compounds. The 31P chemical shifts cannot be explained by the theoretical treatment of Letcher and Van Wazer, and alternative empirical correlations are suggested.Keywords
