Abstract
Abnormalities, which include eyes smaller than normal, eyes which fail to open, blood clots, and white membranes behind the pupil, are suggestive of those characterizing retiolental fibroplasia in premature infants. A lesser degree of protection of vit. A from oxidation provided by an aqueous medium than by an oily medium is suggested as an explanation for the increased incidence of retro-lental fibroplasia which appears to accompany the use of aqueous vit. A prepns. in supplementing the diet of premature infants. Keywords
