Abstract
Cardiovascular disease is the major cause of morbidity and mortality in chronic renal failure. The aim of this review is to summarise current evidence suggesting that there is increased free radical production, antioxidant depletion and changes in lipoprotein composition in renal failure which will lead to oxidation of LDL and hence to accelerated development of atherosclerosis. Keywords
