Abstract

High-resolution ¹⁵N n.m.r. spectra of a series of amino-acid methyl esters as their hydrochlorides have been measured in natural abundance and reveal the presence of a γ-alkyl substituent effect, similar to that observed in ¹³C n.m.r.
