Abstract
The radiologic anatomy of the auditory ossicles is elucidated by tomography of preparations of the temporal bone, in which the ossicles have been replaced by gold casts. Corresponding cuts from the normal subject are also shown. A case of severe impairment of hearing following bilateral simple resection is reported, in which tomography revealed luxation of the ossicles. The hearing improved considerably after operation, and subsequent tomography showed that the luxation had been reduced. Keywords
