Abstract
Nine cases of Brenner tumour were analysed and compared with similar cases in the literature. One predominantly cystic and papillary example was classified as a tumour of borderline malignancy because a typical transitional epithelium lined the cysts and papillae without invading the adjacent stroma. The term ‘malignant Brenner tumour’ was used for another neoplasm in which nests of cancerous transitional cells were identified in the stroma of the tumour. None of the tumours was associated with malignant behaviour clinicallyKeywords
