Abstract
The American Physical Society (APS), the pre-eminent publisher of physics journals in print, has gone on line with an electronic preprint server . The APS server could eventually compete with the electronic preprint archives located at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, which provide fast, virtually free, electronic distribution of unreviewed papers. But the initial goal of the APS server, which is still a prototype, is to serve as a testing ground for electronic publication and to provide a point of submission to APS journals. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
