Abstract
An anticoagulant having antithromboplastic and antithrombic properties causing a serious blood coagulating defect in a 42 year old Italian man was demonstrated. It resembled heparin and the admn. of 200 mg. of protamine sulfate intraven. reduced the clotting time from 106-43 min. The condition was characterized as "idiopathic heparinemia.".Keywords
