A 1/2-In.Ccd Imager With 510 X 492 Pixels

Abstract
A 1/2-in, interline transfer CCD imager with 250,000 pixels has been developed. The effective sensing area designed in 7.75mm diagonal adapts to the 1/2-in optical format. Dark current has been greatly reduced by employing a sensor where holes are accumulated at the silicon-silicon dioxide interface. As a result, a drastic reduction of fixed patte6n noise and a superior picture quality are obtained, even at high temperatures (about 55 °C).© (1987) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
