Abstract
Recently it has become recognized that cell adhesion is critical in many different cellular functions. The proteins involved in the cell-cell or cell-matrix interactions are known as cell adhesion molecules (CAMs). This article reviews some of the most important CAMs and emphasizes their importance in dermatology and in skin diseases.Keywords
